We welcome to the Fall 2018 semester! Dr. Keisha Thompson and Dr. Kevicha Echols are the facilitators of the group and are responsible for organizing the meetings, planning the agenda, selecting reading materials, and updating the blog page. We scheduled three meetings for this semester: 9/26, 11/21, 12/5.

There is no selected book for this semester. Readings from online and other sources will be announced prior to our upcoming meetings.

For our first meeting, we have selected How to Evaluate Your Campus Climate: A Tool for Faculty Change Agents to Survive and Prosper by Debra Guckenheimer and Sarah Fenstermaker. The authors provide suggestions and questions to look at when evaluating the diversity and inclusion efforts on campus. They suggest that campus climate is a big indicator of whether a campus is hospitable towards all and whether the goals of diversity and inclusion are being met.
